Have fun learning to play the world’s most popular musical instrument! Current research has shown a strong link between learning music and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Students will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing, including holding the guitar and pick, proper fret-hand finger position, sight reading, playing by ear and playing basic songs.
